Evostar 72ED spherical aberration fixes?

I got an Evostar 72ED around 6 months ago and I've not had a chance to use it until august. 
i've noticed that there is major spherical aberration around stars in pictures.
Here are a couple of examples:

This m13 shot had more bloated stars than any other.


People said this one was bad.


I think you get the point now haha. 
But is there any way to fix this?
I am using a 294mc pro and an Explore Scientific f5-f7 refractor field flattener. The m13 picture was done with a 224mc though.

That's not spherical aberration, it's halos caused by the very blue end of the spectrum not coming to the same focus as the other colors.  You notice it more in the M13 image because it's a tighter crop. This is just an ED doublet so color correction isn't going to be perfect.  For broadband imaging you should be using a UV/IR cut filter or even something more aggressive like a "Fringe Killer", that will help a lot.
