I am considering buying a motorfocus for my Meade SC 8" ACF.

I would appreciate any feedback on the PrimaLuceLab Esatto 2" motorfocus.
What are your experiences with this device?

It's proving to be a gamechanger for me, BUT I have mirror lock (custom mod) on my C11. I set the Esatto to mid range, focus with a bahtinov using the C11 Knob, lock the mirror for the entire session and never touch it again. Will hold focus and collimation no matter what, including meridian flip. I'd recommend it but in case you have an SCT, I'd consider locking the mirror first. As far as the Esatto in concerned, it's quite expensive but beautifully built and extremely precise. Only drawback I've found, once connected via ASCOM its proprietary software won't work until it's disconnected.

I do not have this device but I do have the Sesto Senso 2 and I can tell you, their manufacturing and materials are top notch.
I tried a Celestron focuser and have the PegasusAstro Focuser … I had to send back the Celestron and only reluctantly kept the Pegasus one.
The Sesto Senso on the other hand was such a great buy.
So although I cannot comment on the Esatto, I can tell you that Primalucelab plays in a different league when it comes to manufacturing and materials.
