Hi all, 

New user here from Oakleigh South in Melbourne. I've been a keen landscape photographer for many years and part of this passion involved milky way photography. 

I've finally decided to take the leap into deep space astro and have got a rig on order consisting of a RedCat61, SkyWatcher Star Adventurer GTI, ZEO ASI533MC Pro, ASIAIR Plus and Auto focuser smile 

Looking forward to getting started but know its a long journey ahead requiring plenty of patience.

Welcome to the bottomless money pit of AP !! Ha Ha !! Just kidding !! (or am I!?)

You have great skies down your way and your start up rig is amazing ! You're going to get some unique wide field targets that us northerers only dream about !

You may want to add a filter drawer (and a few filters) later on but you'll get great shots as is to start !

I have got an Optolong L-extreme as part of my setup; the skies where I am are Bortle 6 so nothing too extreme - luckily I can also take short drives (under an hour) to some Bortle 4 skies smile

I know your skies well !! I'm down your way quite often but the skies never co-operate with me when I bring equipment !!

So I'm counting on you to to get the data !
