I recently read some news about an upcoming celestial event—an approaching comet that is set to reach its closest point to the sun today. There are different predictions about what might happen to the comet—it could either burn out when it gets near the sun or survive the encounter. It's exciting to think that we might be able to observe this event not just through a telescope, but also with the naked eye. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think we'll be able to see the comet after today, especially considering our location? I live in a village with many houses that obstruct the view of the horizon, so I'm not sure if I'll have a good chance of spotting it.

I have personally just shot this comet on camera and its definitely there!! Not quite visible to the naked eye currently and low on the horizon in the morning!! In New Zealand we have a 45-60minute gap from when it becomes visible over the horizon to when the sunrise washes away a lot of its brightness and details in the tail!! Jump in the car and go for a quick drive somewhere close to get away from the trees and get a better view of the horizon if you can!! That's what I did and managed to get it rising over the ranges behind my house (going to try this framing again hopefully tomorrow morning for better results) and I shot it with a DSLR at 70mm focal length f2.8 ISO6400 2sec exposure time and it was nice and bright still

IS it possible to do it in a village? Like I mean, for me to get to the end of my village is like far away, it's like 10 or 50 km away where only the northern sky is not covered.

*That's hardly a village if you have to travel upto 50km away haha you should still be able to capture it on camera within your "village" but may take a bit of trial and error with settings!! Shoot 2 second exposures at ISO 6400 with the lense wide open if you're using a dslr and that should give you a reasonable baseline to work off!! Change settings as required to suit your taste from there
