Hey friends!I need your help. What do you think about the Sharpstar 76EDPH telescope paired with the ZWO ASI 533MC cooled color camera?I have an EQM-35 mount, a SV165 30mm guide scope, and an ASIAIR Pro.I'm a little bit low on budget
Tony Gondola:
Sounds like you have most of what you need, go for it. The mount is near it's limit but it should work.
DavesView:
So you'll spend $799 (current sale price Agena) on the scope and another $200 on a field flattener. I only saw a .8 reducer, but I guess there is a 1X flattener for the scope. So at that, you are in $1000 for the scope. Now this is just my logic, but I would go for a Redcat51 III WIFD at less money and you're not dealing with backfocus. The RedCat51 is a fast scope at f/4.7 and your FOV is going to be larger than with the Sharpstar, even with it reduced by .8. The Sharpstar will be around f/4.4 when reduced. The RedCat is a perfect weight for your mount and it's only $898. The hardware and finish is top notch. The RedCat also comes with a camera tilt adjuster that can be adjusted without pulling the camera off like the ZWO CT adjuster. With the money you save, you can throw in a filter drawer. The RedCat has a spot for filters, but you have to disassemble the train if you want to change it. That's a no go for me, so I added a 5 position 2" filter wheel with various Optolong multi-narrowband filters.
Disclaimer: I own the RedCat51 III and I gotta say, I love it.
Matan Buzaglo:
Thank you for your advice i didnt knew that there is a telescope that no need the reducer.
I will add the redcat telescope to my list and do some research about it .. thank you man!
THIBAUD Lucas:
All the necessary was answered above, in your situation/budget I would 100% take the redcat too.
Just an advice on your research you will have a narrow FOV due to your sensor anyway.
so just remember this equation and it's even more valid with small pixels:
Troubles= Focal²
enjoy the process of choosing your scope that's as enjoyable as using it haha
Matan Buzaglo:
the problem is the redcat is only 250mm focal len

All of the Petzval design scopes are flat by their 4 lens design. I do so enjoy buying telescope gear, and researching to arrive at pulling the trigger is half the fun. Good luck!
EDIT: I don't know if you are familiar with Telescopius. com but you can plug in your scope , camera and reducer info and get a good idea about what field of view you will have with any given combinations of scope/camera/reducer.

I have a sky watcher 72ed and svbony version of your camera.
Only been doing this for 7 months, but my gear is far more capable than I am, still.

The evolux range suffer of some chromatic aberation unfortunately, and it's a bit of a gamble to get a good copy.
Some people in our club got some based on youtube reviews and the blue correction is horrendous.
Great scope to start with but you will reach limitation in the future
