M16/M17 and M31 are my very first DSO images.
In Aug. 2020, as I was trying to take a photo of Saturn or Jupiter (I can't remember) and ended up poorly framing my image, i realized there was something red on my image.
It took me sometime to realize it was a nebula! I was super excited. And I started to shoot images randomly in that Southern part of the Sky (ended up with a couple of clusters and 2 nebulae: M16 & M17).

The following nigh I tried taking picture in the opposite direction and I ended up with M31 (which was pretty low on the horizon).

This is how I got started in Deep-Sky Astrophotography.
Since then, These 3 objects served as references for my journey and progression in Astrophotography.
