Keywording In WBPP For Multiple Nights, Flats And Dark Flats Not Taking Keyword Like The Lights And Darks

I always seem to have this problem where the flats and dark flats don't seem to take the keyword that the lights and darks do. I usually build my folder structure to include, for example, IC1396_N1, IC1396_N2 and so forth. When I do this the lights and darks use Keyword N1 or N2 but the flats and dark flats use the date. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong...

I had to manually change the one group of flats to 2023 instead of 2024 in order to keep them from lumping in with the other flats taken the same calendar day (shot both tonight and this morning after midnight in two sessions).

What might I be doing wrong? It make it so I have to manually link my lights to my flats and its kind of annoying... Thanks!

One issue is that you are using IC1396 as a KEYWORD. A KEYWORD should appear only once in a path statement.
Note that you have "IC1396" in both your filename AND your folder name. This is why you see values of "2024-08-12" in your calibration panel for flats.

You need to make the Keyword unique and save yourself some frustration.
To remedy this- if you want to use the folder method- name your folders:
Elephant_N1
Elephant_N2
Elephant_N3

Put your lights AND flats in these folders. These lights and flats will be distinguished by the values of N1, N2, and N3.

I keep telling people to be creative.
Unique keywords and really… any values at all.

Elephant_Circus
Elephant_Savanna
Elephant_Barnum

Make certain you are doing this for the "Pre" and no Post when you add the keyword.
