Hello And Welcome. I'd like to ask everyone here whoever using binoculars for astronomy.
I've been planning to get binoculars called Nikon Aculon a211 10×50 binoculars. Cause they said it's a very top choice and inexpensive but mostly can be handheld. But then I realized there is a other one called 10 zoom 22×50 binoculars. And I got a bit curious about that. That does that better than 10×50 or it's worse. Does anyone have any opinions on which to buy?

Hello! You will always want to stay away from the zoom binoculars as they will very likely show weird shaped stars and the implied frustration out of it. Zoom binoculars are ok for daylight observations but for astronomy use in the field. Get the 10x50s !

generally, optics without zoom have better optical quality than with zoom

so, for astronomy, out of your choices, I would recommend the fixed magnification 10x50

but I personally would get Canon IS binoculars, if I were shopping for binoculars, because my hand shakes too much for normal binos to be useful for anything smile

If you want to be handheld, 22x50 is too much magnification. Every little shake you make will be magnified 22x, so you will never see pinpoint stars, unless you use a tripod.
