Synchronised dithering with Direct Mount Guider

I'm running a dual rig unguided - so don't use PHD2.  I'm trying to get synchronised dithering to work. According to Cloudy Nights there is an undocumented facility for this in NINA - using the Direct Mount Guider instead of PHD2. However when I try it the primary scope dithers without waiting for the secondary scope to finish a subframe.  Has anyone got this to work correctly?

I am fairly sure Cuiv did a video on this - have a look in his channel.

Yes he did - but it was based on PHD2, not Direct Mount Guider

If I remember correctly, there is a plugin in NINA called synchronisation. It is made to synchronize multiple setups. Maybe this can help. But I never tried it and I don't know if this fits your needs.

Just a hint…

This looks like exactly what I need. Thanks!
