Greetings from Hungary!

I've been uploading pictures to this site for a long time, but I've been passive here, not reading the forum at all and rarely looking at the pictures. I've been more active on international forums for a while now, so I'd like to participate here as well. At the same time I would like to welcome everyone and introduce myself.

I am Lóránd, amateur astronomer since the 90's, more seriously involved in astrophotography since 2010. It is my main recreation, I am passionate about space. Photography is a very good recreation, but I don't think it's a substitute for visual pleasure. So I still look at the sky to this day. I live in Hungary, on a hilltop near the magnificent and beautiful Lake Balaton. My private observatory is there.

Since 2012 I have been published in many places. But I realised these things were taking a bit of focus away , so a few years ago I rethought what was important to me, stopped chasing results and I don't necessarily try to keep up with current trends in my image processing style. It's more about what feels authentic to me.

Thank you for having me in this honourable and serious group of astrohotographers.

Thank you very much Andrea. Designing and producing it was a great experience.

Stuck in a rut looking for some inspiration!!
Lately, I have been just kind of “down in the dumps” about the quality of the images I have been producing. I feel like no matter how I much try and learn or try to pay extra attention to my data when processing, The results haven’t been satisfactory...

External focuser on an SCT; What about temperature change induced focal shift and back-focus?
It seems like every serious astro-photographer is putting external focusers on the back of the EdgeHD telescopes and locking the mirrors. I picked up a nice little EdgeHD 8" and a Primaluce Lab Esatto 2" LP focuser and gave it a try myself....

Which imaging acquisition and processing techniques could I learn more about to increase image quality and accuracy?
