Hello, could someone please assist me with some help regarding the ASIAIR Pro? This evening I am trying the mosaic feature for the first time. All seems well so far apart from that the light frames upon completion are not loaded onto the iPad screen for viewing/ checking. The images are being stored on the usb stick okay, that's the main thing but I would like to monitor the frames as they are completed, is this normal within the Plan setup? I am using the Pro with the new firmware 2.1.4 . The other evening I thought I experienced something similar in Preview mode on the ASIAIR with the ASI2600mm but as I was having huge problems maintaining a WIFI connection to it I put it down to the large files causing issues.

I use the plus version but I use plan-mode 99% of the time, and it should be loading the images as previews. The only time I've had issues with it is when I've had a bad connection or when I've had a very high framerate.

That being said, I haven't trieed the latest FW as the season is over now. So there may be bugs I'm unaware of.

I used mosaic with my ASIAIR Plus maybe a week ago, for the first time, and it displayed lights along the way. But I had good wifi all the time. No other experience so can't offer suggestions.

Thank you for your input gentlemen, I’m sure things have changed in the preview mode since the update. It remains to be seen whether anyone else has similar issues.

I haven't noticed or deliberately done an update, but heard various issues. if it was a choice thing, so far I'd hold off and not do it, my system seems to be essentially working ok atm

The last update I got had to be downloaded from their website on android (Iphone was automatic when connected to WIFI), I got that one but I'm sure there has been a even more recent release now as that was probably 2-3 months ago. Sadly it'll be months before I can get my astro-fix again so I can't be of any further help either. I can't find any other sources that verify this issue either. Maybe head over to the ZWO forums and ask there?

Thanks Jan, I do have an update on the issue. After realising that not only were the lights not being shown on completion but that if I went into the usb I could not open any of the files to view there either, in desperation I connected to the Air with my iPhone , low and behold everything worked as normal. My iPad is an M2 air with the latest software, I downloaded a fresh app install from the AppStore but still have the same problem. Seems like a conflict with the app and iPad iOS. I’ll do some more digging and will post if I have further information.

From my experience you only get a preview on-screen, if you have an active connection between app and AsiAir exactlxy during the moment when an exposure ends - otherwise the last preview remains on-screen.
