Search for users

Hi,

I started using the AstroBin API some months ago but stopped due to missing features.

One point would be to search for images taken with a certain camera model, or images that are taken on a certain area in the image.
My question is if anybody already tried to use the API this way, or perhaps already got a solution for it.

Hi Martin,

equipment items are currently not available via the API.

I will make this available after I've completed the work on the new equipment database that aims to polish and defragment the data.

A RA and DEC area to search would also be nice, I started thinking of parsing all AstroBin Astrometry.net jobs, but the link back via the Job ID to AstroBin is missing …..

is there any progress on this? I have implemented some new search attributes in my GUI (basically I select an object which I want to shoot and can then open an AstroBin search window where I specify field radius, exposure time, …). With this I can search for short captures on the area, …

Specifying the equipment still does not work, the API want a combination of ID and name for the search, placing only the name does not work. Is there any suggesion how this might work?

Thanks for following up.

There has been no progress on this, and it’s not in the immediate roadmap. I currently have a number of higher-impact features prioritized, so the API is not a focus at the moment.
