Hello all! I am pretty new to astrophotography. I got started with it about a year ago when I found astrobackyard on youtube and became obsessed. Since then I have only been able to use my phone to take pretty mediocre pictures of the milky way. A week ago I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a camera/lens and a tripod and these are my first few images I took last night. I am looking forward to growing with this hobby and am hoping to eventually take some really amazing pictures like I've seen from so many of you here on the image of the day.
