I’m hoping that I can get some help from some of you who are using N.I.N.A. to control your ROR’s.
I’m in the final stages of automating my roll off roof observatory. I’m using a gate motor and Arduino to facilitate this. I’ve been using the method suggest in the You Tube video produced by Astrobloke and I’ve run into a problem.
in the “Dome” section of N.I.N.A. when I select Open, the roof opens and stays open. When I select Close it closes, pauses for a few seconds and then opens again and indicates an error. In both cases, the roof stops where it’s supposed to so that’s a good thing.
Could the problem involve the wiring of the door/window magnets? I don’t see how as it’s just a simple on/off circuit. However, the device does say by the contacts, “always on/always off. I don’t have a clue as to what that means.
