Will new Sony Firmware Allow an ASCOM driver?

I saw a reference to SDK in the new SONY firmware release.  Does anyone know if this would allow a real ASCOM driver and things like Eclipse automation to be created?

I really miss these tools I used to have with my Canon equipment.
