Hi I have a question for redcat users I am thinking of buying a Redcat and currently could pick up a used v1.5 or v2 but I’m in no immediate rush so is it worth me waiting for funds to reach getting the v3 version new  which on the face of it looks better solely for the focuser , thoughts on this one would be appreciated , I will be fitting a deepskydad autofocus unit to it .

Regards Dave

Congratulations, you won't regret it smile. It's a great performer and has never disappointed me.
I prefer gears to belts and therefore choose the very stable ProAstroGear mount for the autofocusser.

Hi Markus I have to say the scope is indeed immaculate and fitted with the pro Astrogear Eaf mount and William optics handle now just to purchase a zwo Eaf , the chap did say he had previous versions of redcat v1 and v1.5 and said in his opinion the optics on v2 is better, just need a losmondy plate to mount on my Eq6 as I don’t have a dual puck , looking forward to first light 💡.

Hello, someone is selling a used redcat 51 with a mark on the internal lens for 350£. Do you guys think it’s worth it or will the mark affect the images ?
