A quick question: I have a celestron focus motor attached to my Nexstar 8se. I do all my imaging through ASIAIR. I am curious if the focus motor is compatible with ASIAIR?

I use ZWO filter wheel and Asi1600mm pro camera. My mount is eq6 r pro. Everything works well with ASIAIR except for focuser. That’s why I was wondering if anyone has tried to make it work or have any suggestions/pointers.

-Thanks,
kapil.

Sadly it’s not. The ASIAIR is a closed system and with the exception of some DSLR cameras, is only compatible with ZWO devices. That being said, I managed to modify the ZWO EAF to work with my 6SE. Their focuser is superb and they do have a mounting solution for the 8SE.  It has really improved my imaging and I recommend it as a great solution if you have the ASIAIR Pro.
