RGB Channel Combination images no longer in color

I've been using PI for over 3 years with no major issues but I am now having an issue with my RGB images.  My recent images are remaining B&W despite using channel combination as I always have to get a color image.  I also tried using APP but got the same result. So, it appears to be hardware issue and not a software problem.  I have a permanent setup with a ZWO filter wheel and an ASI2600MM Pro camera and nothing has been changed for a few months.  The individual RGB frames look fine but I can no longer get color when combined.  I thought maybe the FW was not turning but I believe it is.   Both the camera and the FW are connected to a powered USB hub on top of the scope which run down to the computer.  All other accessories connected to the hub are functioning properly.  Any ideas what could be causing this?  The camera itself or a cable issue from the camera to the hub?

Hi,

Just because something is connected doesn't mean it's working smile But could you share three (R,G,B) frames with us?

Cheers,
Dimitris

I realize it’s been 5 days with little response. It sounds like you are combining just L or R or G or B subs that produces a B&W image. It sounds like the filter-wheel is not turning, are your downloaded subs labeled L,R,G or B?. If you think the filter wheel is turning, how are you determining this, by sound? You should be able to just look down the scope and see if it is turning. If not the filter wheel, sounds like it may be the software is not color combining correctly.   Just a thought.

Hi Bob

Thanks for responding and I have to apologize for not getting back to all.  I got it fixed.  I had to remove the filter wheel from the scope to check the turning as it is 10 ft above the observatory floor.  It was turning and responding to the commands correctly which had me stumped as to the problem.  Then it occurred to me what was going on. I have 2 ZWO filter wheels attached- one on my C11 and one on the piggyback 80mm.  My acquisition software was reading from the wrong ZWO filter wheel which had no filters in it.  Once I corrected the connection, it worked fine.  I may simply unplug the filter wheel not being used or get a different brand so this confusion does not happen again.
