I was wondering if anyone already has experience with the new Skywatcher AL55i mount?
My travel kit around the TSAPO906 is approximately 6 kg. First I thought an overloaded Star Adventurer GTI on solid carbon tripod could take it, but I am not sure. Next portable option would be a second hand CEM26 or the new AL55i.
My budget tops around £700 for this, so no harmonics pls…
The mount should also be able to work near-Equator latitudes (4°S), hence the EQ5 PRO is unfortunately out
