I am wondering whether any of you have a recent observation of the star in the subject line. Unfiltered possibly. Let me explain why: I recently run a series imaging run of NGC6058 nearby and I couldn't fail to spot a halo surrounding HD 144543. Now, Maksutovs don't do halos. Never had one as far as I can recall. This star isn't listed as anything peculiar (although I was secretly hoping for a Wolf-Rayet) which while disappoint increases the mystery around the halo. Now, I cannot rule out that this is indeed a halo that for some odd combination of factors is showing up for the very fist time and my previous image of the area (14 years ago!) shows nothing of the sort. So I am kind of double-checking whether this shows up on any recent image of the area.
