Just wondering what the possibilities are.  This is 41+ hours on the Headphones Nebula with a Celestron RASA `11" and a Celestron/Astrodon LP filter.  The camera is a ZWO ASI6200MC Pro.  The temp was 0C, and the data is calibrated with bias, flats and darks.  The pixel scale is 1.25"/pix.  The sky here on the edge of the Rockies is turbulent.  I have a 14,256' peak 25 miles due west!

Oh, the data is free, noted on the bottom right of the image.

Hi Mike,
thank you for uploading these data!
I'd love to try! Since it doesn't look like the Headphone Nebula will be within my reach to capture this season, due to weather conditions.
I just downloaded an 8 bit *.png file. Is this the format you uploaded it, or is there a version in higher bit resolution i'm overseeing?

Thank you again,
Horst

Hi mike,
can you send us the stack in linear? Just after pretreatment
you must have lot of signal!!!

i find nothing... sorry

Does it add a lot to do 40h? This would give you double the snr over 10h of exposure.

Hi all, and thanks for having a look.  This is the first time I have done this, so...
I have uploaded a uncompressed .fit file that is cropped around the Headphones.  The ASI6200MC generates color images of ~700Mbytes.

The FIT file can be downloaded from the technical card area.  The data is only calibrated, no nothing else (except cropped for size reasons).

I tried to put a "free data" on the copyright area.  Again, the data is free, and thanks for your efforts!

The fit file you upload as uncompressed data source is actually private to you. You need to share a link to it explicitly if you want to share it: others can't see it in your technical card.

Thanks, Horst.  A cropped .FIT is there now!

Yes, it adds a bit and smooths out the noise.  Check out Headphones Nebula ( Mike ) - AstroBin which was just 1/10th the integration time for comparison...

Mike,

I would love to make an attempt on your data, but as Salvatorte stated, this information in the technical card is private to you and invisible to others.  Could  you kindly would provide a direct link to the data in this thread?

Cheers,

Mike, from your link I only can access a 81,6 MB png file. This is not a suitable image format for post processing, sorry.

Nice Mike!
I made a very fast interpretation of your wondeful data!
I used Siril for photometric color calbration and histogram adjustments and Phostoshop (masked color saturation and sharpness, background extraction with a false flat and noise reduction from Camera Raw filter)

I Hope that it could be useful for you...

PS: I often add a bit of color saturation in my personal final touch but this is a personal point of view...

Nice job, very impressive! Do you have a outline of steps you took in pix?
Again, very nice, thanks!

I like the colors too.  I keep coming up with either a red/blue or more orange/green.  That reminds me of M27 color-wise.  Thanks for this!  Nice work!
