Is it normal to observe the orange periphery around the Orion Nebula?

This is my recent work on imaging the Orion constellation from bortle 8–9 zone (100mm lens with a DSLR, total integration: 11 hours, no filter).  After star removal process, I did the saturation adjustment on the starless version (the attached image below), I noticed that the color in the faint interstellar clouds at the background region show orange/red.  As I saw many examples on the internet are almost color less, is this normal?  Does those clouds really emit red color?  How can I improve the image?

Sincerely,

Haggon

I'd adjust the color of the Flame Nebula and that would/should sort it. Normally people would tweak their colors in order to show it (the dust) pale brown (as it should).

Thank you for your reply, I did once again the image process, according to your suggestion, as shown below.
