Hi,
I am considering buying an Explore Scientific 102 fcd100 with flat/reducer  for astrophotography with a QHY168C camera. So before purchasing  I  would greatly  appreciate feedback from  Explore Scientific owners.
Some pros and cons (if any), and your opinion about the Hexafoc focuser.

Thanks in avance,

What I have to say about those refractors is everything good minus the fact of the backfocus. We use to say: Welcome to the Explore Scientific and their long backfocus! smile
Regarding that, the triplet FC100 is excelente, even better regarding the ones with the flourite doublets and some ED triplets. I recommend the flatner, really smile

Regards,

Cesar

I have ES 102 ED and my suggestion is change the crapy focuser with a moonlite brnad and depending on your budget add a motorized focuser (also moonlite). You will get awesome pictures. Clear Skies.
