I wonder if anyone can recommend an intervalometer app for iPhone that I could use to take long multiple exposures on a canon with wireless connection. I am thinking of situations where I might want to travel without a laptop and just use my canon ra on a star tracker. I have used QSDSLR Dashboard on an iPad , but find it a bit clunky.
thanks!

Hi,

I can’t recommend an app but I‘ve some general feedback: I‘ve an EOS250D and sometimes the connection isn’t too reliable. Hence, I wouldn’t trust a wireless long exposure trigger. What I‘ve got for my Canon is a Hama trigger cable (cheaper than the original Canon trigger) that allows me to program a sequence of long exposures (e.g., 60 frames with 30“ exposure per frame with a pause of 10“ between the frames.) Costs about 30 to 40 Euros in Germany. I‘d say way more reliable then WiFi/Bluetooth.

To check the frames, I simply use Canon‘s camera connect app for live view, test images and downloading images for deeper analysis while the cam continues shooting.

Just as a general feedback.

CS!
