Just recently bought my first telescope (celestron 6se. While I know there is no perfect scope for both visual and astrophotography I figured it may be a decent middle ground. I am new to all of this and that is why I chose a goto scope.
Being in the Chicago area means I have a lot of light pollution but at least I now a little outside of the city. My deck gives me a SE to SW view and I can always pack my scope and go to my in laws back yard.
I have a lot to learn but even with only a couple nights mostly looking at the moon and a few other items I am already getting the itch to take pictures. I bought a phone mount for my telescope. I also have a canon 70D that I could take advantage of once I get the adapter.
have started eyeing a tracking mount and lens’s to maybe use for my dslr on its own. May look into the sky watcher 2i pro. We will see.
