Hi,
While I'm waiting for my Asiair Pro on backorder, I'm trying to get up to speed and figure out the correct way to connect it to my HEQ5 Pro mount. My setup is the following:
From what I can gather so far, I connect the Asiair Pro to the "hand controller" port on the mount using an EQMOD cable. Do I connect the guide camera to the USB port on the Asiair Pro or do I plug it directly into the "autoguider" port on the mount? And since the D5600 is compatible with the Asiair Pro do I need to use the camera shutter release port on the Asiair (and separate cable), or should I be using a separate USB to mini-USB cable to connect the D5600 directly to the Asiair?
Thanks for any help,
Jim

- Nikon D5600 camera
- SkyWatcher HEQ5 Pro mount
