Painfully slow USB Transfer from ASIAR Plus to USB Stick

I have two ASIAIR Plus devices and several USB sticks.No matter which combination I try, trying to get my subs from last night copied onto a USB stick takes about 1-2 hours. 

It completes but is horribly slow.  What in the world could be causing this?  

My AA with a robust antenna is about 6 inches away from the Android tablet that has the AA app. Has anyone had and resolved this issue?

Just curious. Why aren't you dropping them directly to the USB stick as you collect the data?

If you have the room I would put them directly on to USB as Tom alludes to. The file sizes are pretty large, and I’m sure there’s quite a few of them. 

Otherwise make sure you use a USB3 memory stick in the USB3 ports to get the best speed you’re going to get.

That's a good idea. I have no idea why I didn't do that.  I'll try that next time I am under the sky.  But, if there is a USB transfer problem, I wonder if saving directly from the camera to USB while imaging will also be painfully slow...

Yeah, they are usb 3 sticks..

I use a USB 3 stick and put it into one of the USB-3 slots, write directly to the USB, and don't notice no delays between frames...

Thank you for replying everyone.  I discovered what the problem was and it's resolved.   ASIAIR Plus does not seem to like USB flash drives that are formatted on my Windows machine. 

When I used a brand-new USB stick that hadn't been formatted and put into the USB 3.0 slot of the ASIAIR Plus, my transfer rate went from over an hour to about 6 or 7 minutes, copying 100 .fit files from the ASI2600MC.  Since this isn't in the manual I had to learn from trial and error. 

I hope this is of help to someone else who is experiencing very slow USB transfer rates:  Use a new flash drive and let ASIAIR format it.

I have settled on writing to an SD card in the AsiAir, and then transferring from there to my Laptop for processing by sticking the SD-Card into the Laptop.

USB sticks were not as performant and also I wanted the USB3 ports for the camera connections of the imaging and guiding camera.

What worked fine recently was to wifi connect to to AsiAir for file transfer (assuming its in station mode) by accessing it from window explorer with address \\asiair (on a mac the AsiAir just shows up in your network) - like that I can transfer while still taking images as I don’t need to remove the SD-card. But of course it is not as fast …
