I'm retired and looking forward to learning as much as possible from some of these fantastic shots! I have some pretty basic gear, a Skywatcher Explorer 200pds (8" reflector), an EQ5 Pro mount, a Canon 60D, an Altair GPCAM2 290C for guiding. I use NINA, GSS, Astroplanner and CdC for planning, sequencing and taking my shots, and then DSS and Photoshop for processing.

My biggest problem though is our weather! Front after front stream in incessantly from the Atlantic, so on average I'll have about 5 nights a month when I can get out to do any observing.  smile

Have you considered remote astrophotography?

I've thought about it, but there is nothing like being outside freezing your bits off looking through a telescope, and then taking images from your own back garden.  smile
It also just becomes another added expense, I have a hard enough time convincing my wife that I need this or that anyway.
