For those of you that like to see "pretty" pictures AND learn more on what you are looking at, I have put together a mini article to accompany a new version of my M63 image:
You can find it here: https://www.astrobin.com/ru40fg/F/

Hi @Annehouw,thank you for this interesting post! I have followed the link and saw your article in the description. I am an astrophysicist so I love the physics of what is seen in images and I often think about those thing. I would like to start including some astrophysics in my description fields of the pictures I post! I will read through your article in detail tomorrow! Clear skies!

A huge and interesting comment to a great picture.

Are you a physicist? Would you have interest for a comment in english of my astro video?

You will also find a web link to the whole video with strong music.

Thank you for attention.

Clear skies, AstroEdy

Hello Eduard,

I have a formal university education in Astronomy. That was a long time ago, working on the modeling of the plasma physics of stellar flares and image restauration of data from a coded mask x-ray camera. I have been out of the field for a long time and as the saying goes "use it or lose it".

Making those mini articles is a lot of fun. Of course the field is very broad and some topics highly specialized. So, it takes some time to pick a nice angle to describe something interesting in my image, do a bit of re-reading of the basic physics and then read up to date publications weeding out all the details and citiations to get the interesting essential findings. After that I need quite some time to make a short (!) article that is not too nerdy

I am now working on such a mini article linking galaxy evolution, war-time astrophysics and quantum chemistry.  Gives me a lot of satisfaction to do, but it is also a lot of work.

I looked at your movie. Quite nice and good lenght (< 3 minutes). After I have finished the mini article I would be happy to discuss commenting this movie. Drop me a PM to discuss further if you like.

Regards,
Anne

Dear Anne

Great to hear! I would be very enjoeyd if you will write a science comment as an astrophysicist. The video should be for beginners in astronomy and education.

I'm a mechanical engineer with a huge passion of astronomy. I started with my favourite hobby in 1981.

I'd appreciate your help on this.

Best wishes and clear skies
