Sandqvist 149, better known as Dark Doodad, is a dark nebula in the Musca constellation that was catalogued somewhat recently, in the 1977. Located around 700 ly away, it's a prominent cosmic dust cloud stretching almost 30ly, although it's less than 3 degrees when observed from Earth.

A globular cluster NGC 4372 looks close, but it's substantially farther away. The exact distance is estimated to be 20.000 ly.

The photo was taken under dark (Bortle 1) skies of Namibia, using Takahashi Epsilon-180ED, using ZWO ASI6200 MM Pro camera and Antlia V-Pro LRGB filters.
