First planetary light for second-hand EdgeHD 8”.

Trial run:

Mosaics assembly check: 21 panel mosaics to check panels are aligned well. And indeed it is! EdgeHD 8 field is very flat, on par with my FRA 500 refractor! AM5 tracks things perfectly for EdgeHD 8” native focal length.
High acquisition speed: 500x mono8 frames for each panel, on highest FPS, without waiting for settling. Therefore, remaining noise is still significant, even after NXT. Each panel is captured at about 50 FPS, so in 10 seconds. This means that on the windy acquisition day, there is no much lucky imaging. This would be improved once I am back at normal acquisition speeds.
No real collimation, questionable seeing. Pixel peeping shows there are visible artifacts: double ghosts, ragged edges, etc. This would be improved for the real thing.

All in all, one step closer to 100 Megapixel Moon.
