This is a well known reflection nebula in Eridanus situated near Rigel.

This helped demonstrate for me the value of having access to a dark sky site (Chiricahua Sky Village). The same equipment and integration time in my Phoenix backyard got me a very much fainter image.

I’ve also included the basic stretched image from STF after preprocessing in WBPP in Pixinsight. It show a large artifact produced (apparently) by light flaring into the field from Rigel.

I struggled with removing the artifact for several days until finally Tom Fleming, also a member at Chiricahua Sky Village and an Astrobin user (https://app.astrobin.com/u/TomArizona#gallery) volunteered to help me out. The final result is a small modification of what Tom was able to do starting with the initial image.
