This one surprised me a little in just how much time was needed before it was “easy” to process. I stuck with my philosophy of using RGB only for the brown dusty areas so the dim background dust doesn’t come out slate gray as it tends to with luminance layering. But the price was more exposure, but with the near 100% up-time at DVO, I was able to finish it in 4 full and 2 partial nights without the moon around too much.

Definitely needed the Ha added in since there was so much interesting structure that was completely hidden in RGB. Even the larger Ha area near the top was fairly dim.

Once again, couldn’t be more pleased at the efficiency of imaging with a super sharp f2.7 8” scope at Bortle 1 skies with no humidity and almost no lost nights.
