RCC - Reducing Bright Stars

In the attached image I find the orange star to the right of the galaxy distracting.

To reduce the glare, I did the following:

1. Using GAME, I created a mask of just the three brightest stars, 2 blue and 1 orange, including their halo.
2. I applied the mask.
3. I applied two rounds of MT Erosion, Amount 0.5, Iterations 4, 5 elements.
4. Using CT, I reduced Saturation.

The image reflects all the above.  I welcome any suggestions for improvement; perhaps I am too fixated on these stars and have been looking at them for too long.

Thank you.

I like the picture, good job.
I think it's the result of the composition. The image contains two "small" distinctive objects on a large background area. If this composition was intended in this way, then it is as it is and I would not do anything with it.
Another option is to crop the image to contain only the galaxy that will become the dominant object of the image.
