Dear All,
I would like to ask for expert opinions on the daystar quark prominence and chromosphere filters and how much of a difference there is between the two.
Thanks in advance.

I have always found the prominence filter tricky to operate and I never had good experience in using for imaging purposes (far too much magnification for daytime seeing).

When I looked at them a few years ago, I found more folks that liked the chromosphere model.  That is what I got and have been very happy with it.

I use the DayStar Chromoshere Quark for better surface detail and can also get excellent results of rim prominences for images and animations.

Here are a couple of my latest surface and prominence solar images:

Prom Activity Along the Solar Rim - IV ( Starman609 ) - AstroBin

I have the Chromosphere version. I also found that most pictures published are with that model.

I am very happy with my chromosphere model.  That said the Quarks can be finicky at times with using the thermal tuning system to get on band.  Takes some trial and error.

Thanks to all those who shared their opinions.
