Counterweight for Meade Lx85

hello everyone. I own a Meade Lx85 8" Newtonian telescope. It comes with a counterweight. This counterweight doesn't quite balance the telescope. I've always used it like this and I know I need to get a new counterweight. The only counterweight I can find is the Celestron AVX counterweight. Can I use this counterweight for the lx85? Is there any damage to the motor of the telescope? After 20 seconds of exposure with the DSLR, the stars start to fall and telescope can't follow the objects very well.

My guess is that both have a 20mm counterweight shaft so any counterweight with the same bore diameter will work.

As far as I can see, the lx85 has a 20 mm shaft. but the avx shaft is 19mm. can I use?
