Hi
Looking for a deep-sky sort of lens, using a D5200, I have a few options already, not fussed about using full-time manual focus, but an AF lens would be great should I go over to a D7XXX or D500 or D750 etc which would utilise the autofocus.

1. Nikon 135mm AI-S f/2.8
2. Nikon 80-200mm AF  f/2.8 D ED
3. Nikon 180mm AI f/2.8

Please let me know if these won't fit on my D5200. Thank you

Hi Adam, if you do need AF then the Nikon 135mm AI-S f/2.8 prime is a good choice in terms of FOV for nice wide field views of about 10° with APS-C. If AF is dispensable, I would also consider the Samyang/Rokinon 135mm F2 UMC which is available for F-mounts and sports hi-res, sharp images plus a lower price tag as far as I am aware.
Cheers
Robert

Hello, I'm new to astrophotography and I'm looking to purchase a lens. I've narrowed it down to the Nikon 180mm ED AIS f/2.8 and the Nikon 300mm ED f/4.5 AIS. Has anyone had experiences with these lenses? I'm also open to suggestions ...
