I have a very odd glitch in DeepSkyStacker 3.2: the software stop to detect any stars in OIII images and. accordingly, does not stack them together. It also does not register Ha and OIII images. What is wrong? Any ideas and suggestions, friends? smile

I can't help you, but have you tried Siril ? Maybe it could work.

Thanks, I was looking for alternative staking software. I made some search and found that it is a known problem with DSS. I decreased percentage of stars allocated (advanced settings), it helps, but processing takes a while now (too much stars are detected now). smile

Yep, find the right setting in percentage and it should be fine. Too many stars is as well not good for stacking.

Thanks, Uwe. Interesting fact - for Ha and OIII this number could be different, hard to understand

DSS 3.2 is ancient as there have been several upgrades since then.  4.2.2 is the new standard, is 64 bit, supported and is blazingly fast.

Great thanks, Scott, tried the new version - MUCH faster and bugs-free
