Hey everyone! Looks like a really neat spread of astrophotographers around the world! Wow! I'm out here in the suburbs of Washington DC. DC is a white zone, but I live in a red/white transition. It's made worse by the neighborhood street lights that shine super bright a mere 10 meters from where I set up my scope in the yard. There's like 5 of them in my vicinity and it makes my red/white more like a white zone. I made a makeshift light shield using two tall tripods, some c-clamps, a curtain, and a curtain rod. I'm within a 2 hour drive from Bortle 2 skies in West Virginia though!

Clear skies to all!

Hi John,

welcome to our community! Can you take an image of your light shield and upload it? I would be interested in the construction :-)
