I do electronically assisted astronomy (EAA) with an 80mm APO Triplet refractor  (AVX mount) and a C11" EdgeHD SCT (AP Mach 1 mount) with CCD cameras but also have one CMOS camera primarily for planetary shots.  I prefer using my Mac so I use Starlight Live (SLL) as the software for EAA. I can use SharpCap on Windows 10 but I really prefer SLL.  Given my equipment listed above, I've been toying with the idea of trying to "touch-up" some of my EAA shots (usually 6-10 stacked, 30s unguided exposures).  So, I'm not talking guided, long exposure AP (I have no interest in doing this at this point) but rather an in-between step to just enhance some of the EAA views.  I was thinking something like using Photoshop to try this but I know there are so many software options, albeit most for Windows. So, any experience on how best to proceed?  Should I just try Photoshop and be done with it?

Pixinsight works on Mac as well and it has a trial version at least on Win. Maybe it is not so simple to use in an intuitiv way like the PS, but definitely worth to try.
