Hey Ladies and Gents.

I am an amateur astronomer and Astrophotographer from my backyard in SA.

A year ago I started on this amazing astronomy journey and I have recently started my AP journey as well. I am fairly new to it and I look forward to my time here on AstroBin!

This is a wonderful site to monitor how you progress and advance your skill level.  smile

The most beautiful place in the world. I was there several years ago on my honeymoon and it was unforgettable. From the Drakensberg fog to the sunrise to the Stellenbosch vineyards, everything here is magnificent. I will definitely return to South Africa as soon as my kids are old enough. The starry sky I saw from Khaya Ndlovu is imprinted in my mind like an astrophotography. Welcome to Astrobin!

It surely is! I moved to Cape Town in 2011 and never found any place better. Just the limited availability of astro gear is a setback, though I wouldn't be able to afford all those wonderful high end toys hahaha
Let me know when you are around  Some of the darkest space in the world is on the Karoo (it is just so cold in winter nights).
