I have just purchased a ZWO ASI 178MC cool to use with my WO GT81. I am trying to find the best settings for DSO captures. I seem to be struggling with light frames with either not much detail or to much amp glow, i cant seem to find a balance. I am using SharpCap to gather the images , PHD2 guiding with a WO 50mm guide scope and SSAG, on a Celestron CGEM DX mount and Deepskystacker and PS CS6 for stacking and processing. To date i have no images worth keeping.

I had no trouble capturing images with my Canon T2i, but the ZWO seems to be a steep learning curve.

Looking for any advice please
