So who has sprung for these 7 lens extenders?
Anyone have one for the recent epsilons. Curious about experience for 130d at 650 mm, to compare to my apo at similar focal length and f-ratio. Spot size looks to be excellent also.

Hi Colm,
I recently got one for my 180ED. I was struggling with the native corrector using my QHY600 and the tiny pixels. Even the very slightest miscollimation , focuser misalignment etc is hugely magnified. The new extender although it makes the scope an f/4.2 is a much better match for this camera and I think the star quality is definitely better. Made a HUGE difference at least in my case!

thanks Dave. Interesting. My ZWO2600MC has the same pixels, but behaves well with the 130D more or less. The 650 mm at f/5 gives a great galaxy imaging scope for my Bortle 6/7 seeing, giving my 1.2"/px and that worked great with the big apo. One thing I cant glean from pictures: are they big?

Hi Colm,
I thought I had a picture of it on my scope but all I could find was this one which shows roughly the size out of the box.

Takahashi 1.5x extender for 160ED on full frame, is it a good choice for remote imaging?
So I have been really contemplating pulling the trigger on a brand new 160ED. I want to use it at a remote hosting site and this will be my first remote setup. I was planning to pair it with the ZWO AM5 on a pier, and either a 2600mm pro or 6200mm pr...

GUIDE: Collimating Takahashi Epsilon 130 ED w/ OCAL
We all know the reputation these scopes have when it comes to collimation. As a former RC owner I always wondered if collimation was really that difficult on an Epsilon or if people just aren't using the correct method. I've owned an OCAL v2 ...
