hello!

So 1st light (WO GT 71) and 1st  telescope after starting with Canon DSLR's. I think the stars look a bit squashed and some splotchy background, but Bodes looks OK. Your thoughts?

Star Adventurer, Bortle 7/8 no filters; 77 x 75" (1'36"); 30 each calibration; ASI296MC PRO; APP processed.

Welcome and congratulations. Your first light is way better than my first attempt to image M81, which I don't dare to show here. Maybe you're a bit too aggressive with stretching. It looks like the cigar galaxy is overexposed and so are most of your stars. With a more moderate stretch your stars may show some of their colors and M82 certainly looks better. You may have a look at some other images of M81 and M82 here at astrobin. With your astro cam you may have a chance to capture some of the Ha jet of M82.
