Hello everyone,

Would someone with first hand experience on a modified Canon 1300D be so kind to tell me whether is worth modifying the camera in terms of sensitivity/performance compared to more modern (Canon) cameras? Noisy quirks and such? Pros and cons?

Hallo, Andrea,

I had a 1300D  with a Full spectrum mod, and it was very sensitive. I sold it because of the reflexes due to the use of filters. They  were very bad. The person i sold it to, was very impressed with its performance. The performance of  normal modded 1300D I do not now.

What do you mean by "reflexes due to the use of filters"? Were you using filters like L-Extreme or IDAS-LP2? And how bad the reflections were?

Hallo Andrea,

i used  the optolong L-enhanced on a Samyang 135mm f2 on the front of the lens, getting big reflective spots from bright stars, and the same from UV/IR clipfilter. So I gave up photographing with it. Perhaps  a normal mod is better?
