I am looking for a collaborator to develop a composite image of the entire Messier Catalog, similar to today’s APOD (May 14, 2026).

APOD May 14, 2026

However, with a smaller image scale and longer integration times.

The project may take more than 3 years to complete, but there is no need to be overly strict about deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Image scale around 1 arcsec/px;

  • Integration times of approximately 3 to 10 hours per object (can be discussed later);

  • Intermediate-level image processing skills (I would like someone capable of achieving results similar to mine, although I can also edit the images so they match more or less in style).

Well written Concise

Possibly. I’m nearly finished myself but I’d love to get those pesky galaxies in Virgo a bit better and faster than I can do now.

Your images are very good; we would make a great team.

Thanks, very kind of you. And yours are pretty good too. PM me to get into the details of the collaboration, if you will…
