Hello,

I’m currently considering buying new filters for my Epsilon 160 with an IMX571 mono camera.
Right now, the Antlia V-Pro LRGB together with the 3nm Highspeed filters have caught my attention.

Does anyone have experience with these filters and can share some insights—maybe even in combination with faster optics or even the Epsilon?
There isn’t much information available online, unfortunately.

I’d be especially interested in star rendering (halos, flares, etc.).

I use the the Edge 4.5nm on my Ocal H2 205mm f2.7 and find they are great. Until this scope, I’ve used Chroma 3nm normal speed filters which have also been great, but aren’t appropriate for the f2.7. But the Edge filters show zero halos and are around 90% transmission even at f2.7 since they are slightly pre-shifted to accommodate higher speed scopes

I just bought these filters for f/5.9 and they work well for me. Not as fast as your Epsilon. I chose them over Optolong due to a bad Oiii filter that took 2 months to get Optolong to even respond to a replacement request and if it had not been for Agena, they never would have responded. Just posted an image using them.

I’d think the regular 3nm filters from Antlia should work just fine for that as well.

But it’s great to hear that the filters are performing well.

I use Astronomik MaxFR 6nm Ha, Oiii, Sii, Astronomik Deep Sky RGB, Astronomik L2 Lum filter with my Epsilon 130, ASI2600mm. I have not experienced any issues with these filters, and I have a few images on my AB page with this set up.

When I chose them in Astrobin ‘Equipment’ for the purpose of filling out the equipment card, 3nm Pro high speed was how they were listed and the only choice. I then began assuming… 😇

The Antlia highspeed versions are shifted up a few nm, so when a fast optic shifts the effective bandpass down it ends up in the right place with fast optics.

The edge versions are a little wider and their center is shifted about 1nm up, so work with both slow optics and fast optics, which was what I needed.
