Filter Wheel Questions

Hi All,

As a RASA user who never used, never could use, a filter wheel, I have a couple questions on their use.  I will be wanting to employ a filter wheel on my imaging Newtonian.  It is a 12 inch, f4 unit.  It will have a 100mm secondary when imaging.

I intend to use both a 1.25" format camera (most often) and likely a C-sized sensor CMOS camera (less often) with the setup.  I really do not expect that I will be doing a lot of narrow band imaging, but may add H-alpha data to RGB on occasion.  I have 1.25" filters for the small sensor camera.  I was thinking that maybe the best way to do this would be to install a filter wheel that can handle 2" filters.  But I was hoping to hear from you guys that there are 2 inch to 1.25 inch filter adaptors that can allow use of 1.25" filters in the 2" wheel.  Do the adaptors exist?  And if yes, will it work?  The intent is not to use the 1.25" filters with the C-sized camera.  But using a 2" filter with the 1.25" camera may happen.

Thanks
Alan

Thanks Tom!  That seems like a pretty definitive solution.  I clearly am very poor at searching for this stuff on the internet.  I looked a couple of months ago without success.
