Hello fellow astrophotographers,

The Hope D60 telescope by Touptek is supposed to be a superb imaging machine and according to their marketing material, be very fine even for full-frame imaging.

Have you got one of those systems and have you made some experiences with it, which you like to share here? I have seen severy reviews on youtube, but either they are marketing driven or not very informative.

What would be very interesting for me - have you used it with astronomical full-frame cameras like ASI6200, QHY600 etc?
Are you using the version with the standard focusing back or the one with the tilt-adjust focusing back?
Any other oberservation you made during you working with it?

Thanks and CS,

Georg

Verbatim: " 2-element FPL53 objective for a color-pure image" (yeah, sure…). Where does it say there are TWO FPL53 elements? Obviously there CAN'T be a 2 lens doublet objective with the SAME glass!!!

I think Cuiv tested it and concluded that it was very close (altough slightly inferior) to the great Askar SQA55. Since its also a bit cheaper its really up to your budget to chose between one or the other.

Andrea, I agree - there are some discrepancies between available information material, youtube videos and what I currently see and find out. I got one of those OTAs for testing and I have mixed feelings. I am not really a pixel peeper, but as far as I can see up to now, that telescope is not as perfect as most reviews state.
But it is still early days, I am still working with it and trying to get the best possible performance - out of that one device, which I currently have. It is certainly possible that others are far better (or not…)

For those who are interested in a real-live test, here is the link to my test report on my website (sorry, in German - but AI can translate it)
