Well most of us live under light polluted skies, HII emission nebula are some of the only targets were building signal is fairly easy.

That’s very true. HII emission nebulae are definitely more forgiving under light-polluted skies since narrowband filters can isolate the emission lines and help cut through the glow. They’re a great target choice when dark skies aren’t an option.
